i am 17 and i lost my virginity 3 weeks ago to a guy whom i know is not a virgin. the sex was unprotected, but he didn't finish. today, some small red bumps developed on the opening 'down there' and i am scared it is herpes. they don't hurt or anything, but i am still really scared! any input? and please don't criticize me about having unprotected sex or sex before marriage...i just need to figure this out.

to me that really doesnt sound like an std, more like a rash, but no one can give u a definite answer other than a doctor. and if it is just a rash it still may be possible that u caught something else from him. many stds have no symptoms at all!! just think about it this way, if he had sex with u unprotected, chances are he has slept with others unprotected! please see your doctor or an ob/gyn and get tested.

no one is going to criticize u for that. My first time was unprotected & i wasnt married. But the next time you have sex make sure that you use a condom. theres a condom for women now. But anyways, it could be herpes but go to a doctor
