No idea, doubt there has been much research into it. You'll probably find if they're active stars in movies etc they won't have any and will be tested regularly for any infections & some probably use condoms. Just because they have sex for a living doesn't mean they're idiots when it comes to their health. They've probably got more common sense & knowledge about it all than the idiots that think they are immune to everything these days.

Out of curiosity, i did found this discussion by searching what percentage of porn stars where protection. I read an article that said, the request for licenses to do porn production in Ca dropped 90% after they passed that law requiring actors to ware protection, because sales dropped as much as 30% for some companies. I say, folks will get used to it in time, & sales will go back up. HIV rates are slowly climbing back up, and we could see a super strain resistant to all meds ravage the country as bad as the initial Aids crisis. Much like the anti-vaccine folks, folks have become complacent about HIV/AIDS because, the effects of it are not present in their everyday lives as it was during the crisis.

I am in the porn industry and I am tired of people thinking that all porn stars are dirty. People who do porn take far more precautions than people who do not do porn. Say I slept with 100 people in 1 year and I'm not a porn star. I finally decide to go get tested 1 year later. I'm most likely positive because I know nothing of my past partners. Say I'm a porn star, I get tested every 6 months and have sex with only other porn stars who do the same. I may or may not be positive with an STD. Say I'm a porn star who has sex with others who are outside of the industry. What do you think the chances are of me getting an STD are and passing it to others in the industry? Some porn stars sometimes get an STD and pass it to other porn stars. You can try to take as many precautions as you want as a porn star but some where down the road I'm going to get an STD. Porn stars sleep with hundreds - thousands of people a year. That is only with people in the adult industry. Now, as far as sleeping with other people outside of the industry, it does happen. Some porn stars ONLY have sex with people in the industry. There have been several porn stars to have sex outside of the industry and got HIV / AIDS. They then may quit the industry or talk to their agent about it. Some can stay in the industry but have to always wear protection. Not all porn stars go into the industry clean but can be treated. As for other STDs that are not treatable they may or may not be allowed to be in the adult industry.

Actually I work in porn and we get tested every 30 days for std's. If anything on our test comes up negative then we CAN NOT work with anyone. Only 11 cases of someone contracting an std from work has been reported in the last 10 years. I am sick of people looking down on us for how we make our money. Trust me, we are safer than you civilians out there who dont get tested. At least everyone we sleep with is clean. Thank you very much.
