Can HIV be transmitted through an infected gum or tooth inside the mouth if there is no bleeding occuring?

My tooth has been eroding due to a previous root canal that i got two years ago, it swells sometimes and pieces of my tooth chip off.

If there is an open wound of some kind (which is possible even if you don't know it) but getting HIV by mouth is very very rare, it may never have happened at all in fact, though theoretically not impossible

If the sore is open or if there is bleeding, this would be the only way to transmit HIV. Studies are inconclusive as to whether it can be transmitted through saliva.

Saliva does not carry the disease.

If the person is bleeding in their mouth and you have an open sore in your mouth, yes, you are suseptable to the disease.
